One of my favorite old-time movies taken from Bram Stokers was Blacula, a 1972 film set around an African prince who is changed by Count Dracula. I enjoyed the way he hunted and drank blood from his victims.
The latest Keanu Reeves Vlad Dracula during the Turkish Empire has become my most cherished vampire story. I adore the way he was converted, that his bravery and resilience to protect his people led him to choose a lesser evil. His feeding habits and enhanced powers are also amazing.
Suddenly he is running faster, connecting with all the creatures around him, and flying through the dark. Although I wanted more suspense, it was action-packed with a good storyline. I enjoyed it until the end.
Another amazing theme touched by the movie is romance and parenthood. I was impressed with the role played by his wife who joins in making difficult choices and trusting in his resolve to do what was best for his people and family. This created a unique conflict between filial love and political obligations.
In the end, love won the war even though it lost many battles in between. Do you like vampire movies?

For example, Blacula did not kill the vampire slayers because he had other pressing things to take care of. So he let them go and went to visit his bride. However, my favorite vampire movie is the Underworld series where Selene and Michael became vampire killers. The various sequels show how she defeats the first two original vampires, and her own bloodline father, Victor. I did the action how they fight against each other, vampires against werewolves or Licans.
The first part, Underworld, does not explain all of the history. It focuses on the rise of Selene, her relationship with Michael and a jealous Kraven. It is a good series to watch and you won’t be disappointed in any part.
